Hering Harmonica
In the 40’s began exporting their products, among them a harmonica with the name “The Verity” commissioned by the American army. In the early 1960s, Hohner purchased the Hering harmonic plant and remained in Brazil until the late 1970s. During this period, Hering’s market was expanded mainly with exports to the United States. With the departure of Hohner from Brazil, several groups began to have their shareholding control until in 1996 new investors took over the production of Harmonic Hering acquiring the machinery, tooling and mainly maintaining the main collaborators with wide experience in the production of these musical instruments.
In 2017 the factory was bought by SHG Indústria e Comércio de Instrumentos Musicais LTDA, which owner, Blumenauense Mr. HORST SCHREIBER was responsible for the tooling of the Hering bagpipes for at least twenty-seven years.
