It took a considerable amount of time to comprehend and connect all the dots regarding Cloudflare, but I am pleased to say that I have successfully hosted my web application using an old laptop as a server. Since I am not hosting any heavy traffic applications but rather some hobby projects for demonstration purposes, I do not hear any fan noise.
